User 81.100.64.222 was blocked today by administrator SarekOfVulcan for reasons of issuing legal threats which are still open and unresolved. The majority of articles edited by 81.100.64.222 have been started by Jsecure, with both sets of edits records intertwining heavily since the end of October 2010/start of November 2010. Their edit record has been particularly focused during this period on the articles Dwell (retailer) and UltraStream. Further, both accounts have similar edit patterns: adding new comments to editors whom they disagree with at the top of the other editors talkpage; regularly not signing comments made either on article and editors talkpages; blanking other editors pages; threatening legal action and police reports against other editors. I also note that after 81.100.64.222 was blocked today, user Jsecure immediately became a live editorial account again, and then commented on the AFD for UtraStream, suggesting delete as per 81.100.64.222 - an article Jsecure created, and user 81.100.64.222 wanted deleted. They also appeared to have tried to use the identity of Ihcoyc to add this AFD comment. I hence concluded that 81.100.64.222 and Jsecure are the same person. Quoted from the Wikipedia page on defending yourself from SockPuppet accusations:

"Whilst merely owning multiple accounts is permitted on the English Wikipedia, misuse of two or more accounts by the one individual—"abusive sock puppetry"—is in violation of the project's communal norms. Editors who are filing an SPI request ought to be fully familiar with Wikipedia's sock puppetry policy since complex sock puppetry cases occur regularly.

A sockpuppet inquiry case may only be opened if there is evidence or good cause to suspect that there has been abuse of multiple accounts, or IPs. The English Wikipedia's policy on sock puppetry holds that, whilst merely owning multiple accounts or IPs is acceptable, utilising them in a disruptive, misleading, or unhelpful manner is not. As a rule of thumb, if you suspect the use of multiple accounts or IPs in a manner that is affecting the encyclopedia, an investigation ought to be filed."

I call upon user Trident13 to show that the Jsecure account has breached any Wikipedia rule or ordnance. Further, I call upon them to show the use by Jsecure of multiple accounts in abusive sock puppetry.

I make the claim that, according to the definitions quoted above from wikipedia, this accusation is groundless and should be dismissed. Jsecure (talk) 23:55, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
