Both are contentious editors at Clan of Xymox; Hablador was recently blocked for their actions in that article. While the two are not actually making the same edits, I suspect that this is a left hand/right hand operation: Knowitallfortoday is very concerned, in their edits, to remove certain band members from the article, especially, it seems, Pieter Nooten--this is one of the many times they edited him out. On the other hand, Hablador copies the content for Nooten and another band member, Wolbert, into new articles, in effect creating a place for them outside the Xymox article.

While the two accounts have been careful not to have the same edits, I think they slipped once: these two edits, this one by Knowitall and and this one by Hablador are the same--note also that both cut names from the article, in line with Knowitall's clear interest to trim down the names in the article, favoring Moorings consistently.

A final consideration: when Hablador was blocked, Knowitall ceased all activity, consistent with an auto-IP block.

I understand that this is not the strongest behavioral evidence in the world, but I think it is strong enough and when combined with the enormously disrupted recent history of the Xymox article, I believe a request for CheckUser is warranted. Drmies (talk) 15:30, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think the edits speak for themselves: they are identical to Knowitall's, I'm sad to say. I have checked "no" for checkuser because of that reason; if you don't believe the evidence is strong enough, I'll be glad to request CU. Thanks. Drmies (talk) 02:40, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oh, they will? Well...The most obvious quality of the master and sock edits are to increase the role of Ronny Moorings and diminish that of the others. As a notable specific example, previous edits by Knowitall and their socks all involved moving the founding location from Amsterdam to Nijmegen in contradiction of this source (see [1], [2], [3], [4]).
