All deleting a list of gender identities from Talk:List of gender identities and adding "male" and "female". Very similar username "style". Not sure why three accounts were made. Bbbgsfhhhgrr did add a comment to Talk:Homosexuality and own talk page. Adakiko (talk) 10:43, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I recently became aware that widespread vandalism was occurring in Lithuania. When I looked at the edit history, I first suspected edit warring/content removal, but looking closer, it seems as if some of the users were trying to replace this English Wikipedia article with the Lithuanian Wikipedia article (not the translated version of it- Kafkablade and Mintbolas2 copy/pasted the original Lithuanian language version of the article onto the English Article and got rid of the original content written in English).

The two now indefinitely blocked accounts made the same types of edits. Both editors seem to be vandalizing Lithuania by changing the entire article into the version on Lithuanian Wikipedia (I do not know how to speak Lithuanian, but the text obviously looks quite similar to the ltwiki article ([4])). Seems like a duck to me.

For now, I have asked the administrators to semi-protect the page so it doesn't get vandalized (the page is now semi protected for 1 year due to vandalism/disruptive editing). Shadow of the Starlit Sky (talk) 04:33, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ok, understood. I will look closer into this case (and other related incidents) in the future, as I believe that this is strongly indicative of a sockfarm or maybe even an LTA. I will continue patrolling pages the socks edited to detect replacement of English text with Lithuanian, because that seems like the commonality in behavior among these socks. Also, ending a username with 2 seems to be a common feature among these sockpuppet accounts (as exemplified by Panzadiem2, Yankboone2 and Mintbolas2). Duffykegs2 was removing the word "Mustang" repeatedly from the article Ford Mustang Mach-E. After receiving a level 4 vandalism warning, Linespant started doing the same edits. @Spicy: Yeah I think this is Lithuaniaball2 too based on usernames and behavior (I personally know the LTA's modus operandi quite well, having monitored Lithuaniaball2's SPI page after catching Kafkabade, Mintbolas2 as Lithuaniaball2 socks) and I also recommend CU use due to extensive sleeper use in the past. I would also recommend requesting global locks later on because Lithuaniaball2 often engages in cross wiki abuse in Lithuanian Wikipedia. Also, I just requested page protection on that Ford vehicles page so Lithuaniaball2 and their socks don't vandalize it again. -- Shadow of the Starlit Sky 22:13, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lordscoked, Noelstraci, Tidebyrd and Capedbids have all been disrupting Gender transition lately by redirecting it to Castration without consensus. Jodelepke edited Gender-affirming surgery (the edits got revdeled later). Shortly after they were indeffed as a VOA. Bangsmetal, Lauranumb2, Weberhesse and Datedstar2 then returned and kept on reverting back to Jodelepke's version of the article, which led to the page being protected by ScottishFinnishRadish. I think this might be WP:LTA/LB2 based on the username pattern of some of the socks, but I'm not too sure on that - I do recognize that Lithuaniaball2 has vandalized gender related articles in the past before moving on to car-related articles, but the behavior shows that they might be someone impersonating Lithuaniaball2. That being said, having multiple socks revert back to the vandalized version is a common behavior for Lithuaniaball2 socks. Either way I am requesting CU on this to check for sleepers and to see if this is Lithuaniaball2 or not- again, I'm not too sure on whether this is Lithuaniaball2 or not, I just have a slight suspicion this might be Lithuaniaball2. -- Prodraxistalkcontribs 17:40, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I know I said earlier in the LTA case that Lithuaniaball2 socks should not be reported to SPI as it will be too slow to deal with the abuse, but this is an exception. Sure, the username for this account is definitely Lithuaniaball2 and some of their edits match the behavior[13] but some of the edits made by this account [14] seem very Piermark-like. Suspected sockpuppets

Gothsnovae and Posestrade were blocked as socks with the former tagged as a sock of Lithuaniaball2.

Their edits consisted of attacking the Kia Carens article and changing every instance of "Caren" to "Karen". [16] [17]

On March 13, Urdugypsy arrived and made the same edits [18] [19] [20] and was promptly blocked.

Now two new accounts are carrying on the same edits.
