Mediolanum is currently blocked for making legal threats, the suspect socks only edits are to the talk page of Potential superpowers. This diff is all that is needed, Mediolanum has also said the article is well written and that adding Russia or Brazil would be propaganda, Mediolanum also says "scientifical" I can hunt up the other diffs if required but this is so obvious I see no need to. All the same as previous socks, Mediolanum + socks had insisted that Potential superpowers was "well written" and should not have Brazil nor Russia in it, the IP socks continue in the same old way. 89.97.225.73 151.40.60.108 151.40.59.151 Darkness Shines (talk) 10:36, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Same style, same grammatical structure in the comments, & once again related to the potential superpowers article and the inclusion of Russia & Brazil. Made a comment on my talk page claiming I'm wrong since (apparently) I work for the KGB/FSB/etc. Main comment diff: http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Therexbanner&diff=prev&oldid=555431177 Therexbanner (talk) 22:47, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

All the same as previous socks, Mediolanum + socks making havoc in Potential superpowers and related topics: controversial changes, edit-wars, naughty discussion, legal threats. Also, Glc72 sockpuppet has been blocked with an expiry time of indefinite (Making legal threats). Subtropical-man (talk) 13:53, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is a clear WP:DUCK. Other editors have also pointed out the socking going on here, even on User:Sergecross73's talk page right here. Although an editor also tried to connect/accuse User:Antiochus the Great of socking (which is not true as far as I know) being Mediolanum. Mediolanum's main objective seems to be removing Russia, Brazil and (to a lesser extent) India from the Potential superpowers article and promote a Italian / EU bias, and directly/indirectly brings up or uses Italy in their arguments. He also has a certain distinct grammar style.

Furthermore, he already admitted it/confessed right here.[3] If you look at the Archives, nothing has changed since more than a year ago when this started. Supersaiyen312 (talk) 11:44, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, more WP:DUCKs.

On Talk:Potential superpowers, 151.40.123.24 begins discussion.[4][5][6][7]

151.40.60.44 replaces and edits/continues previous IP's discussion an hour later.[8][9][10][11]
151.40.11.36 replaces and continues, and even admits it "I'm just trying to rise the level of this really poor Talk."[12]

On List of states with nuclear weapons, 151.40.60.44 begins edits, again focusing on Italy.[13][14]

151.40.11.36 restores prevous IP's edits.[15]
151.40.119.134 restores edits.[16]

Same grammatical structure in comments, & once again related to the potential superpowers and Italy / EU. Supersaiyen312 (talk) 16:30, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Same IP range, same fixation on Italian symbols and Italy as a great power. [25] Specific diffs can be supplied if requested. NeilN talk to me 22:09, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Checkuser will not disclose the connection between a user and an IP address per the privacy policy and these IPs can be temporarily blocked right away. OccultZone (TalkContributionsLog) 01:58, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Clearly the same person, but blocking the individual IP addresses would achieve nothing. However, I have checked the editing history of the IP range 151.40.0.0/17, and found, contrary to an opinion expressed by another editor, that the substantial majority of editing in the range is clearly from this editor, and the few edits that may be from other people also contain a significant proportion of edits that are unconstructive, so the amount of collateral damage from a range block is likely to be minimal in comparison to the benefit. I initially blocked for two weeks, but I then noticed that the same range has previously been repeatedly blocked for longer periods than that, indicating that the extent of the problem from that range is far larger than was evident from looking only at the recent editing history, so I investigated further back, and I have increased the block length to six months. Seeing the topics he edits, the spelling of English he has, and the arguments he use (vandalising, anti-italian, etc) makes him a potential clone of User:Sad9721 and User:Ambidibody, which were sockpuppet suspects of User:Mediolanum.

  1. [26]

the same arguments and English spelling and accusing anyone of vandalism while deletes the sources or simply deletes the data of the page [27]

  1. [28]

exactly the same as the user Sad9721 (Mediolanum sockpuppet) did months ago [29]

  1. [30]
  2. [31]
  3. [32]
  4. [33]
  5. [34]
  6. [35]
  7. [36]
  8. [37]
  9. [38]
  10. [39]

and much more editions on the same page, which can be seen in the page (List of European countries by average wage), he just changes with redundant sources or even without sources and with fake data, for example he used a website which is totally unrelated, and he changed as he wanted the wage on Italy using that source. I warned him on his talk page and he fastly deleted that [40] which instantly made me suspicious to be a clone of the above mentioned users, as it's the same behavior.

This user is suspected to be the same user as Sad9721, a user which was banned from Wikipedia doing the same redundant editions on the same topics/articles (being the same sockpuppet as Ambidibody and Mediolanum, a user with 60 potential sockpuppets). This time is List of European countries by average wage. He accuses anyone which deletes his redundant changes for being "anti-italian", keeps the same mood even after being warned and finally he deleted the data [41] just exactly Sad9721 did. Those users always [[42]] edit practically the same articles and topics with the same mood and English spelling, maybe another few ones to pretend to be different but most of editions are in the same articles as always, well related to Italy, to the economy of Italy or the List of European countries by average wage, as well as other pages like the global powers or anything related to the classification of the economy/credit where Italy also appears inside.
