[edit]

Request origin is from 24 hour old content dispute at North Carolina Tar Heels football with 'Nomad3919' declining requests to engage in Talk at Talk:North Carolina Tar Heels football#disruptive editing.

  • Nomad3919 - Nov 5, 2016, 3:48 AM and 70 edits
  • SnappyTomato - Mar 4, 2017, 6:30 PM and 3 edits

Special:Contributions/Nomad3919 made 4 ([1], [2], [3], [4]) identical edits in 10 hours which removed disputed content from that article. Nomad391 then removed feedback re disruptive editing and Talk requests by blanking their Talk page at 18:28, 4 March 2017.

'SnappyTomato' was then created at 4 March 2017 at 18:28, and immediately made a single edit at 18:30, 4 March 2017 (2 mins later) which removed the identical content as Nomad3919's four edits and used a robust summary of "I, along with other editors, agree with Nomad3919 and the unregistered user that it is better for the page's quality that short sections be eliminated." One hour later, SnappyTomato also blanked their Talk page to remove similar WP:DE and WP:SOCK warnings.

The two accounts performed identical and contested content edits on the same article, the use of argumentative edit summaries and refusal to join at Talk is identical, the timelines indicate a clear transition (2 minutes apart) from use of an the original account to the creation of a second account to overtly support the actions of the first account *by name,* and both accounts blanked their personal Talk pages of policy and dispute notifications. The use of a second account to publicly support the actions of the first account is textbook and prohibited WP:SOCK behavior.

Lastly, Nomad3919's very first Wiki edit was to create a new and well-formed article at Jim Carmody, implying they already had understanding of Wiki policy and a high level experience. UW Dawgs (talk) 22:09, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

User:Nomad3919 (created 03:48, 5 November 2016) has one, prior 2-week block for Sock using User:SnappyTomato (created 18:30, 4 March 2017): Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nomad3919/Archive.

Nomad3919 now has a new, active 48 hour block specifically for 3R, while it otherwise could have been for DE (Special:Contributions/Nomad3919).

In parallel to the 3R block, Nomad3919 was specifically asked[5] stop DE of adding college nicknames ("Wildcats") in specific sections of college football articles. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13]

User talk:Nomad3919 receives a flood of parallel warnings+blanking by Nomad3919 just prior to 3R block implementation[14].

Today, the dormant Jdquayle account (created 02:03, 6 August 2017) became active again Special:Contributions/Jdquayle.

And immediately began introducing nicknames to college football articles in an identical manner to the blocked Nomad3919 account. [15] [16] [17] [18] [19]

I gave Jdquayle's Talk a similar warning re DE insertion of nicknames.21:43, 30 April 2018‎

The blocked Nomad3919 account then promptly posted "I no longer want this account" to their Talk at (22:01, 30 April 2018)[20].

and Jdquayle does the same with "I no longer want this account" to their Talk at (22:07, 30 April 2018)[21]

The EIA shows some interaction across college football articles by all three accounts and at least one clear transition where Nomad3919 is reverted by another editor and then Jdquayle restores that same content in the very next edit with an edit summary of "Please refrain from deleting references from reliable sources. Thanks."[22] WP:DUCK.

Nomad3919 appears to have used at least three accounts, with the third account currently being used to evade the active block on the first account. WP:NOTHERE. UW Dawgs (talk) 00:34, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
