LoveSourav was registered a day after Mark the train nominated master's article for deletion and it seems obvious that the person who created the article Swastika Dutta is trying to affect the result of this AfD. GSS (talk|c|em) 17:52, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Avik9 was registered two weeks after Berean Hunter blocked Rjsubrata9 for misusing multiple accounts and recreated Subrata Mandal in his userspace last month and also posted Pathikrit Basu in mainspace after the submission for User:Imdebdutsarkar/Pathikrit Basu was declined which was created by the master. Avik9 also repeated the same edit as Rjsubrata9 at Subrata (please see this and this). GSS (talk|c|em) 14:46, 9 May 2018 (UTC) (updated 15:15, 9 May 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Apart from recreating Subrata Mandal in his userspace (earlier created by Rjsubrata9) he also uploaded some images of the subject including images of his signature. I also found Subrata Mandal used a link to Avik9's user page in his Facebook profile with a comment Follow my Wikipedia page...... Notifying Berean Hunter. Thank you GSS (talk|c|em) 06:54, 10 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yet another attempt to recreate Pathikrit Basu and uploaded the same image File:Pathikrit.jpg. GSS (talk|c|em) 18:00, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Prince Shobuz also recreated Fidaa (Bengali Movie) a film directed by Pathikrit Basu, earlier created by Ishan20001. Also, they somehow look like connected to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rakhi Das as per the userpage/sandbox of LoveSourav (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). Prince Shobuz's article creation style and the use of templates such as Use dmy dates and Use Indian English is exatly same as Avik9 who was blocked by Berean Hunter and if you look at this it looks exactly same as this Avik9's userpage. Thank you for the quick response Berean Hunter. This sounds like we have two or more groups for this sockfarm because Subrata99 used the same social media links in his userpage as Avik9 did in this edit who was in the same location as the master here and was using an ISP in common. New user who shows a very high level of Wikipedia editing and wiki code. They have a strong focus on Swastika Dutta, which was deleted at AFD and socks of Rakhi Das have recreated it enough times to require semi-protection on the article. They recreated the article at Swastika Dutta (Actress) and I suspect it's pretty similar. The editor interaction [1] shows overlap on 5 articles, fairly high given the low level of activity.

First edit was to wikilink all actors for a TV show, prior sock Abhijitonline3 did the same on a different article on their first edit [2]

They've also uploaded[3] multiple copyrighted images to Commons which was a problem Rakhi Das also had.(Ravensfire (talk) 02:43, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Numerous intersections with Bijoyonline30 as detailed here
  • Of those intersections, they both seem interested in Draft:Pathikrit Basu, which is heavily peppered with Rakhi Das socks.
  • Of those intersections, in this version of the Teahouse, Bijoy and Myslfs interact within 43 minutes of each other. There are some textual similarities in their queries, both beginning with "Hello admin" and ending in non-standard quotation mark numbers. Also poor English.
    • Bijoyonline30: Hello admin, an article have in my draft space. And i have improved the article. So can anyone please review the article. And if the article is eligible thn please move it on to the article space ??
    • Myslfsbhijit: Hello admin, how to protect an article from news editor. Actually someone is editing article without knowing anything and misusing infobox parameter and many other mistakes. So how to protect article from new editors ???
  • Myslfsbhijit has created Draft:Sayak Chakraborty. Sayak Chakraborty in live space was previously deleted on the basis that it was created by this sockmaster.

For these reasons, I'd like to request a CU, since I this suspected sock was active when Bijoyonline30 was blocked. So while we may not be able to CU against the master, I'd like to CU against Bijoy, please. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:03, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Numerous areas of intersection with prior Rakhi Das socks, including at Anindita Raychaudhury, which has largely been unedited by anyone other than Das socks in 2020.
  • Satyajitcreator and Rickyurs have significant intersections at 16 articles.
  • All editors appear interested in Indian Bengali-language article subjects.
  • In these edits, Satyajitcreator seems to be bolstering the article with more references. One might ask why we need two references to prove that the subject was in a TV show. This is reminiscent of these edits by Myslfsbhijit, who adds a reference to support the fact that the subject is an actress. I notice this same type of edit here by Bapinghosh who also has to prove that someone is an actress.
  • This redirected article has an interesting editing history. Bapinghosh creates it, then less than an hour later Satyajit corrects a typo, then 22 minutes later Rickyurs makes his first edit and continues building out the article. (All the while, he's editing other articles too, if you look at his edit history from 27 October 2020. Then, 14 minutes after Ricky stops editing, Satyajitcreator starts up again. The last edit to this page was here by Satyajitcreator who had to change the redirect target page after Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay G5ed for having been created by a Rakhi Das sock. Pretty transparent.
  • Here, Rickyurs needs help creating an article on top of a salted page. He also asks for help here. This was for an article on Swastika Dutta, which was previously created by Rakhi Das socks.
  • Here, Rickyurs comes to the defence of an article created by a Rakhi Das sock, arguing that just because it was created by someone violating our policies doesn't mean it should be deleted. Satyajitcreator does the same thing.
  • Here Rickyurs complains to RHaworth that an article he says he created, iSmart Shankar, was deleted. Article was previously created by Dudeboy7, a CU confirmed sock of Surenderdas7. Wait, "Das"?
  • Rickyurs has also, for much of October, been cranking out about one article a day or thereabouts, which is highly suspicious from a UPE perspective.
  • Rakhi Das also likes to waste the Teahouse's time like here, and Satyajit here asks the Teahouse how long it will take for a draft to be reviewed. Not a serious question, since Satyajit has started creating drafts in live space, which is pretty ballsy for a newbie.

I tend to think that Rickyurs is a different person, mostly because he seems heavily involved in South Korean entertainment, where the others seem to focus on Bengali, but overall there's an air of weirdness about his editing behaviour and intersections with these Rakhi Das socks, that I think it warrants a CU. • I was considering filing a report for Satyajitcreator (talk · contribs) myself, and a comparison to the last two sockpuppets reveals overlaps – note especially the numerous Teahouse threads, which are typically started in the aim of getting such-and-such article published as quickly as possible. I have therefore blocked Satyajitcreator on behavioural grounds. I'm not sure about the other two accounts, but I strongly suspect there are other sockpuppets out there. UPE may well be in play too. SuperMarioMan (Talk) 11:18, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • A fair question, but to me, no. First, TamilMirchi was recently indeffed for undisclosed paid editing, despite having 50k edits under that name and 27k as DragoMynaa. So edit count alone doesn't confer integrity. Rickyurs has a scant 90 edits to article talk pages, and looking through their top 10, most edits are tagging articles with various WikiProjects, vs. discussion of content. They've responded a good deal on their talk page, but looking at their edits in Wikipedia space, most are to areas you'd expect to see: page protection requests, undeletion (kind of weird), and AFDs. So, superficially, they appear to me to be operating mostly independently, and not participating much in community issues, and I don't particularly recognise them as a vocal contributor in the Indian cinema task force considering they've never commented. So, not exactly a "regular", despite their high edit count. As I've said, I'm not 100% sure that they are the same as the other editors noted in this drawer, in part because of their interest in South Korean topics, so I lean toward meatpuppetry. But these edits in particular, where Rickyurs shows up on a freshly created article to beef it out, is hard to ignore. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:07, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks for your response, your time is appreciated. I'll wait a short bit (a day or two at most) to see if there is a response from SMM, and in the meantime i'll slowly begin to process the evidence before making a decision on running the check. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 06:53, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • @AmandaNP: Their substantial history (2 years, 19,000 edits and a PC reviewer) does give me pause. Their presence on certain pages alongside the other, much younger accounts (especially here and here) may look odd at first sight, but I'm leaning towards the view that they're an established editor interested in New Page Patrol, rather than someone's puppet. SuperMarioMan (Talk) 21:49, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@SuperMarioMan: Your contrary opinion is appreciated. I won't press the issue. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:56, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Clerk note: @AmandaNP: you placed this on hold; is there anything you're still waiting for? -- RoySmith (talk) 16:03, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Checked all except Rickyurs, and they came back all again on the same large range, same city, different UAs. I also briefly checked the range and Rickyurs did not show up. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 22:21, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Clerk note: Picking this up from the cold case pile, I took a closer look at Rickyurs. I'm reasonably sure they're not Satyajitcreator or Jeetpriya2020 (or, for that matter, Rakhi Das) based on some details you can ask me about off-wiki. Taking a step back and looking at their overall editing, I think it's likely they're UPE, probably working in concert with some of the other actors here, as described in the evidence provided by Cyphoidbomb, and could be blocked for that, but I can't call them a sock. As for Bapinghosh, I didn't dig into that; given that they haven't edited in over two months, I don't see much urgency there. So, closing. -- RoySmith (talk) 01:04, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Same MO as previous socks. Created Pathikrit Basu (Director), even though Pathikrit Basu is technically and unsalted and open namespace, so likely someone who is trying to WP:GAME and avoid detection by not using the previous namespace. Requesting a CheckUser as Rakhi Das has had multiple active socks at once in the past. GPL93 (talk) 15:51, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

GPL93, I've only looked at this briefly. My initial impression is that it's likely Ursbabu, Bubai9man and Souravforu are the same person, but I don't see the connection back to Rakhi. If you have some more specific evidence that could establish that link, that would be useful. Part of the problem is that Bollywood such a huge mess of UPE, it's hard to tell one sock from another. -- RoySmith (talk) 01:30, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mathurajv77 has submitted Draft:Hello Mini for AFC review, and now has put Hello Mini in article space. It was last put in article space by a sockpuppet of Rakhi Das. The only edits by Mathurajv77 have involved submitting Hello Mini again. This is not a slam-dunk, but is consistent with yet another sockpuppet. Request CheckUser. • Name similarity
  • Blocked sock Aankan Das created Neel Bhattacharya. This account was CU-blocked, although no master was specified.
  • Amkgp recently created this article of their own accord and DasSoumik started editing it four hours later. I'm not suggesting a relationship between DasSoumik and Amkgp, I do, however, think that it's odd that another "Das" account hopped onto this article so quickly after it was created, as if they have technology that would allow them to get notified if one of their UPE articles were created.
  • DasSoumik created F Buddies, a poorly-sourced article about a web series. This was also edited a day after creation by Souravforu, a suspected Rakhi Das sock.
  • DasSoumik's article creations seem within the UPE range. Questionable web series, questionable tech company, questionable politician, questionable app. Seems the standard pattern for UPE. Like, who just happens to be interested in minor politicians and startup apps? C'mon. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:14, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Cyphoidbomb, Actually, minor politicians and startup apps are basically the same thing. They both just burn through contributors' money trying to make a name for themselves without necessarily doing anything useful. -- RoySmith (talk) 23:28, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi-yoooo! And I guess that like a politician, the web series is just trying to grab cash while no-one's watching. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:35, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
