Oxudercidae stubs
- The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed creation of the stub template and/or category above. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the template's or category's talk page (if any). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the debate was create.
The Category:Gobiiformes stubs has over 300 stubs, of which more than 200 belong to the Category:Oxudercidae, as can be seen here. I propose the creation of the Category:Oxudercidae stubs. Best, --Fadesga (talk) 14:42, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
Bulbophyllum stubs

The result of the debate was create.
Category:Bulbophyllum stubs has over 1,600 articles and no subcategories. Therefore, I propose the creation of these categories + their respective stub templates:
- Category:Bulbophyllum (Africa clade) stubs, [77 articles]
- Category:Bulbophyllum (Asia-Pacific clade) stubs, [1247 articles]
- Category:Bulbophyllum (Madagascar clade) stubs, [183 articles]
- Category:Bulbophyllum (Neotropical clade) stubs, [72 articles]
Category:Bulbophyllum (Asia-Pacific clade) stubs still has way too many articles in it, but I have no idea how to subdivide it. Any ideas would be welcome. Andumé (talk) 04:15, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support. And a suggestion for Asia-Pacific: I see that there are over 60 subcategories in the Category:Bulbophyllum (Asia-Pacific clade); maybe you could further create, say, A-D, E-G, etc. --Fadesga (talk) 20:00, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
Syrphidae stubs
- The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed creation of the stub template and/or category above. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the template's or category's talk page (if any). No further edits should be made to this section.

Category:Syrphidae stubs has over 1,500 articles and no subcategories. Therefore, I propose the creation of this category + its respective stub template:
Category:Eristalinae stubs will need further subcategories, but since Category:Eristalinae doesn't have any large subcategories (yet), I do not yet have a plan for doing so. Andumé (talk) 05:24, 9 October 2023 (UTC)
- I have now sorted Category:Eristalinae into subcategories, with three of them having more then 60 stubs. I therefore propose the creation of these subcategories for Category:Eristalinae stubs + their respective templates:
- This would leave Category:Eristalinae with a much more reasonable 107 articles.

Stubs for novels before the 18th Century
- The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed creation of the stub template and/or category above. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the template's or category's talk page (if any). No further edits should be made to this section.

There are currently 5 templates for novel stubs published in the 13th through 17th Centuries. These templates categorize the novel stubs to Category:Novel stubs. I propose to replace all of the 5 templates with one template, {{pre-18thC-novel-stub}} and create a new category Category:Pre-18th-century novel stubs. This category would not contain 60 or more articles (likely 30 or less), but it would provide a consolidation of the 'early' novel stubs and move Category:Novel stubs one step closer to the container category I believe it should be (that is, the category should contain only categories and not articles, in my opinion). Thanks for considering this. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 00:59, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- Support despite the under-60 quantity, in favor of logistics. Her Pegship (?) 15:55, 9 October 2023 (UTC)

Category:Loricariidae stubs has over 800 pages and no subcategories. Therefore, I propose the creation of these categories + their respective stub templates:
- Category:Hypostominae stubs, [at least 345 pages]
- Category:Loricariinae stubs, [at least 210 pages]
- Category:Neoplecostominae stubs, [at least 60 pages]
- Category:Otothyrinae stubs, [at least 108 pages]

1900s comedy film stubs - dropping a small stub category
- The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed creation of the stub template and/or category above. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the template's or category's talk page (if any). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the debate was reorg per nom.
Category:1900s comedy film stubs contains the {{1900s-comedy-film-stub}} template and a single article; it is however parent to Category:1900s short comedy film stubs, which has a decent 53 articles. My suggestion is to eliminate the '1900s comedy film stubs' and re-stub the single article to Category:Silent comedy film stubs, which has ~40 articles at the moment. The '1900s short comedy film stubs' category would have take the parentage that the now-deleted category had. The before and after state are illustrated in the image below. Thanks for considering. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:16, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

The Category:Siluriformes stubs has almost 700 stubs, despite already having 7 subcategories. I propose to further create other subcategories:

The Category:Characiformes stubs has over 500 stubs and no subcategories. I propose the creation of the Category:Characidae stubs, as there are over 200 stub articles (or stub-like articles). Best, --Fadesga (talk) 20:47, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

Category:Colubrid stubs has over 1,600 pages and no subcategories. Therefore, I propose the creation of these categories + their respective stub templates:
- Category:Colubrinae stubs, [about 488 pages]
- Category:Dipsadinae stubs, [about 672 pages]
- Category:Natricinae stubs, [about 204 pages]

- Support. These appear to be the three largest, in terms of number of genera, of the several sub-Families of the parent Family. The Calamaria sub-Family gives an intersection of 66 pages, meaning it crosses the minimum size threshold as well if you'd be interested in creating this additional stub template / category. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 00:11, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

1910s American Western (genre) film stubs

This concerns two stub templates/categories: {{1910s-Western-film-stub}} / Category:1910s Western (genre) film stubs and {{1910s-US-film-stub}} / Category:1910s American film stubs.
"Western" contains 263 articles while "American" contains 630 articles. Intersection of the categories assessed via PetScan shows a count of 163. This would reduce "American" to 467 and "Western" to 100. Thanks for considering. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 00:56, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

The fish family Pseudochromidae has not least than 90 stub articles within the Category:Ray-finned fish stubs. So I propose the creation of the Category:Pseudochromidae stubs. Best, --Fadesga (talk) 15:12, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
