I contest the suggestion Mr Johnson was a non notable local musician for a number of reasons. He's rather well known in neo-classical piano circles, I myself haven't been within a thousand miles of anywhere he would have called local and am well acquainted with his work. He has released 5 albums composed of both his vocal and piano works. As a fairly unscientific study, typing his name into Google displays 1 and a quarter million results compared to only slightly more for Herbert Hoover.
To sum up, his work has touched musical circles across the world, he's released many albums, toured concert halls across America but unfortunately died at the age of 30, but none the less well deserves to belong here.
