That article could not be more damning of the bias of the editors against webcomics, and how easy it is to manipulate that bias. Wikipedia was originally created under the misguided and naive Utopian ideal of a perfect socialist encyclopedia where everyone could contribute and edit. The problem is, there is no such thing as socialism, nor Utopia, because people have personal bias and agendas. Thus, Wikipedia has become a platform for He Whosoever Sitteth At The Computer Longest to affect whatever changes and edits they desire, while everyone else with jobs, families, and other real-life issues that keep them from being completely absorbed in editing all day long find themselves shut out. It has become the playground of internet-mob-rule, personal bias, and the power is in favour of those who can micromanage-edit articles all day long instead of the general population. The events of this deletion, and how easily Wikipedia was played, and has been played in many other articles I have seen, shows critical flaws in the system and the ideology behind it.--Breandán 19:13, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you mix in the concept of Wikiality, we have absolute proof that Wikipedia is far too trusted for all its flaws. This is not to say that it is a complete failure. It's a better jumping-off-point than many old encyclopedias.--The Sporadic Update 23:18, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
