Re: WP:CIVIL

1. WP:CIVIL - Both sides have been uncivil however Amerique and WHS have either retracted and/or apologized for comments. Insert-Belltower has resisted owning up to or apologizing for this past conduct. Insert-Belltower did however accept Amerique's apology.

Insert-Belltower's Response: How is it appropriate that I apologize for issues warrant no apology? Neverthess, I have attempted to apologise twice to WHS for my preceived tone on the talk page, but it has only been met with consernation.

You didn't attempt to apologize. All you did was issue to me an easily recognizable non-apology apology. Your statements:

Suggestion

After reading Doc Troppics comment I have a suggestion to Insert-Belltower and Amerique. Why not try to request Mediation again (Formal or Informal through the mediation Cabal up to you). In this case however it would only involve the two of you (WHS, UCRGrad et all would not be involved). That way you could discuss the issues you have with each other with out outside influence on either side with a Neutral Party over seeing it. It could help to keep this issue from going higher and might even start to help with the other issues. How do the two of you feel about this? Aeon ^{Insane Ward} 19:09, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to second the motion for another attempt at Mediation, and at the lowest level of "formality" the the parties are comfortable with. A move to de-escalate the situation certainly seems promising. --Doc Tropics ^{Message in a bottle} 19:43, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Mediation would be good for this case. The Mediation Cabal would be the least formal of the least formal, so to speak. I will recuse myself from any MedCab Mediation on this subject, as I wish to avoid any potential conflicts of interest here (having placed a critical OV in this RfC already.)
