Nigihayahi and Amenohoakari

[edit]

Nigihayahi currently redirects to Amenohoakari. While identified as such in the Kujiki this identification is not present anywhere else. I am working on a draft Draft:Nigihayahi do you think it is worth a split? Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 18:53, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, please can someone help with the new revision of the article Gackt at Japanese Wikipedia? I need someone to do WP:TRANSLATEUS of the article on English Wikipedia in the form which can be found at User:Miki Filigranski/sandbox (check Talk:Gackt#Translation of English Wikipedia to Japanese Wikipedia).--Miki Filigranski (talk) 14:49, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war at Nihonjinron

[edit]

Not trying to forum shop but can some knowledgeable Japanese editors please review this article? I'm trying to improve it and there is a dispute. I could use an opinion from neutral third-party Japanese expert editors, since I only have limited working ability to decipher kanji. Andre🚐 11:43, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Portal banner wonton font

[edit]

Crossposting for visibility because I think few people saw my other post. I posted this on Portal talk:Japan before.

The banner for Portal:Japan appears to use a wonton font. It's inconsistent whether or not this font bothers people (my guess is that most Japanese people probably wouldn't mind; these types of fonts are even sometimes used throughout Asia), but it may bother some. I'm not necessarily proposing that it be changed, just pointing it out to let people know it can be perceived this way. toobigtokale (talk) 10:06, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It mostly just seems like a missed opportunity—there are more interesting ways to have the Japanese culture reflected in typography. Remsense 18:45, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
