Reversion in TAP Portugal

I don't know what kind of reversion you may have made in TAP Portugal page according to your justification, since TAP Portugal doesn't fly to Tel Aviv, nor any other city in Asia. Nupest 0:10, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Mumbai Airport

Is this section even valid?  LeoFrank  Talk 14:07, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@LeoFrank: Hello. I don't see anything wrong with that section. The only thing I can mention is that there are outdated information on it. Separately, I've also seen the message regarding NokAir. Let me see what I can do with that. Cheers.--Jetstreamer Talk 14:17, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok cool. I have removed a section from BOM what looked too adverty and closely paraphrased.  LeoFrank  Talk 14:47, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

2007 Mogadishu TransAVIAexport Airlines Il-76 crash

@Mt hg: Maybe you want to delete your messages at your talk page, but certainly you won't do that here. For the record, I provide this diff. Have a nice day.--Jetstreamer Talk 14:08, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Start being constructive rather than disruptive. You kept a section under "citation needed" for a citation that needed 1 minute on Google to find the source, then all of a sudden when the citation was given you killed the section. Tell me why? I hate "citation needed" tags on something that needs 1 minute of google research to give a citation, it just kills the credibility of Wikipedia. Don't loose time in setting "citation needed" tags when it requires the same time to find a citation and mention it in the article.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Mt hg (talkcontribs)

Look at my contributions and then tell me if I have not been constructive. Not to mention the article we're discussing. It's not me the one that is obliged to add sources, as per WP:BURDEN. I had removed almost instantly that information if I was monitoring the article at the time that stuff was added. The source you inserted is not reliable. As I said in my edit summary, images are not reliable source. Nonetheless, I can accept that paragraph to stay.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:19, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed with a reference at Air Algérie

{{help-me}} Hello. Can someone please take a look at reference #92 in the article? It is shown as a bare url despite {{cite press release}} including the proper parameters. Please note that most of the references for the page are grouped inside the {{Reflist}} template. Thanks in advance.--Jetstreamer Talk 23:58, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed - it was a bare url in the middle of the table at "Current fleet"  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:24, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Ronhjones: Thanks!--Jetstreamer Talk 00:39, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Turkish Airlines destinations

I noticed that you replaced the expression "Asian part of Russia" with "Siberia". But Siberia only includes Yekaterinburg in a historical context. It actually belongs to the Ural region. So, the correct expression is either "Asian part of Russia" or "Siberia and the Ural region". Well, if you want to simplify, the destinations in Georgia and Azerbaijan (eventually Cyprus) can also be considered in Asia, but for proximity reasons they are usually considered in Europe.Mondolkiri1 (talk) 17:23, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Mondolkiri1: I didn't do that.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:37, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It was Ushuaia1. Do you suggest that I change back to "Asian part of Russia" or do I keep as "Siberia"? (the wide concept of Siberia includes all the way to Yekaterinburg).Mondolkiri1{{Talk}} 21:46, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Mondolkiri1: I'd start a discussion at the talk page if I was you.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:51, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kenya Airways, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page COO (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Air Serbia Fleet Changes

Hi Jetstreamer. The changes I made are certainly correct as YU-APG was delivered 5 days ago and there are 7 A319's active. Just see http://www.planespotters.net/Airline/Air-Serbia if you need confirmation. Could you please restore the changes if possible and add the citations if necessary as I am not sure how to add citations? Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.230.96.152 (talk) 00:41, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, Planespotters is not a reliable source. You should use another source if you want your edit to stay. Figures in the official website are not in agreement with the ones provided by you. Even if the Air Serbia website is not updated, you should bear in mind that Wikipedia is not a newspaper. I'd like you to discuss these changes at the article's talk page so everyone can participate.--Jetstreamer Talk 00:57, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There has been some dispute on this page with a user and me. Air India continues to be listed as a current member of Star Alliance (the airline was approved to join on June 24, 2014) but It will not officially join until 11 July 2014. Can you take a look? Thanks. Rzxz1980 (talk) 18:22, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Rzxz1980: Common sense.--Jetstreamer Talk 18:42, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I see that you and @MilborneOne: have already taken care of it. The page has already been fully protected. Rzxz1980 (talk) 18:45, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion at Turkish Airlines

At Aydın Airport page it is already written that Turkish Airlines opened a Flight Academy there and THY is operating the airport. how you decide that all my latest contributions on THY page are not verifiable?Rugyu (talk) 11:20, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Rugyu: If this is the edit you arer referring to, you can see that you provided not even a single source for your ten-edit-in-a-row changes. I didn't decide anything, I was just following a basic policy, i.e. WP:VERIFY. Furthermore, you cannot use Wikipedia to support Wikipedia, as per WP:CIRCULAR.--Jetstreamer Talk 11:34, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You are right about Flight academy part, I may give reference. I looked up a bit, however I couldn't find one till tomorrow. But, I don't see a reference for actual A340 numbers in the fleet and a date for out of inventory of them. Also same is true for Cargo Fleet a/c. Where is the 6th A330 comes from? Is it leased or just a mistake? And actual number of A310 cargo a/c is not referenced, it is actually wrong. MRO part is a disaster. HABOM and TEC is at SAW, but they are totally different companies. However, when you click on the link about TEC, you find yourself at HABOM site. Isn't it bizarre? If you just gave required attention to these details and did not reject my contributions in a hurry, you will see that I did the right thing. You may not have enough time to do that, but so do I when replying you. Sure, you may find a way to measure one's good faith, but sorry, it didn't work this time.Rugyu (talk) 08:55, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Rugyu: I didn't say you edited in bad faith. I just said you did not follow a policy.--Jetstreamer Talk 13:22, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

refer to link below for actual THY Flight Academy fleet. http://thy.faaliyetrapo.ru/documents/ThyInvestorRelations/kurumsal/faaliyet-raporu/2013/en/Rugyu (talk) 11:38, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Rugyu: Thanks for the link but this is not the right place to use it. Again, read WP:VERIFY and WP:IC for the use of inline citations in order for your edits to be in agreement with a basic policy.--Jetstreamer Talk 11:46, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

UTair Modification

Good evening. My modification to the UTair accidents/incidents following the incident at Barcelona El Prat was removed, as according to you you would be surprised if it was a near miss, and dismissed the incident as unimportant. For the first claim, I would like to know if you actually looked the incident up/followed my link, and if the incident was unimportant, why does the video have more than 9 million views and was on many big news channels throughout the world (even if granted, many things get millions of views on youtube, important or not). Could you please respond to this message as I'd rather discuss with you the reason of this suppression rather than just bluntly Undoing it. Many Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lla117 (talkcontribs) 18:12, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Lla117: First of all, I started a thread at the article's talk to discuss the matter. It was removed based on WP:NOTABLE and WP:NOTNEWS. Yes, I saw the video and the fact that it had 9 million of viewers is not an entitlement for inclusion. Which is the encyclopedic value of the entry?--Jetstreamer Talk 18:16, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Air Serbia never did fly to Ataturk before. It was JAT which was flying to Ataturk before so begins is better description than resumes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.254.218.215 (talk) 10:27, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a edit request at the talk page of Abu Dhabi International Airport for future services to Madrid, Algiers, Edinburgh, etc. However, an editor hasn't done it yet because it is WP:CRYSTALBALL and that the destinations should be added when the date approaches. Why you being mean to me. If you read my history i tell once the reason. my second edit, i just change a small single word. I don not think minor edit needs something. also he does change again and did not tell anything. hes changing numbers all the time. i checked flight radar and only 6 a310 flying but he say 9 and he do not give any source either. he also change othér things. if you look at his page he get so many warnings and template and he does not follow anything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.84.178.239 (talk) 07:07, 18 July 2014 (UTC) pls help someone did like 10 edits... its against wiki rule and i can't undo. wiki allows max 3 edits a day... so much spam pls help — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.84.178.239 (talk) 05:53, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Database with IATA and ICAO codes

Hello Jetstreamer. Hope you are doing fine. I wanted to know if there is any database of official airport names and their respective IATA and ICAO codes. The airport name issue always pops up in Indian airports.  LeoFrank  Talk 04:15, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

revert on Ellinikos Airport

Yes, the link is correct but first it is not apparent "Eleftherios Venizelos Airport" is the same as "Athen's International", and also "Athens Airport" link is already in same paragraph. There is Wikipedia rules about overlinking... I will fix again. Mistakefinder (talk) 19:11, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Mistakefinder: First of all, let me tell you that there's little etiquette in proceeding with your view ([1]) before knowing my response, especially when it was you the one that initiated the discussion. Having said that, Eleftherios Venizelos Airport is a redirect to the current airport in Athens, i.e. Athens International Airport. Just as Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport is. I don't see which is the issue here. Furthermore, where is the overlinking you refer to in the article. One link points to Athens International Airport and the other one points to Eleftherios Venizelos Airport. WP:OVERLINK does not say that the same article cannot be linked to from different redirects.--Jetstreamer Talk 19:49, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Sorry about proceeding before waiting for your reply. But also isn't the usual practice not to revert someone's edit and have a discussion first unless it's clear vandalism?

The issue is that it is NOT clear too an average reader that Eleftherios Venizelos is the SAME airport as Athens International unless you already have previous knowledge they are the same. To have first mention of Eleftherios Venizelos without making the connection between it and Athen's Int'l and showing how it is relevant is not good communication/writing. Once you make the connection, then to use the redirect in another paragraph would be fine, but linking to the same article in the same paragraph with a redirect is unnecessary and easily done with what I did. Redirects are usually used for search entries using that term or common misspellings. Somewhere in the linking guidelines there's stuff about avoiding linking to the same page within the same paragraph, and in general you want to avoid linking to a page more than once in the whole article unless necessary. Mistakefinder (talk) 20:25, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Mistakefinder: What about using a piped link, i.e. [[Athens International Airport|Eleftherios Venizelos Airport]] just before the full stop? Do you think that will settle this?--Jetstreamer Talk 20:36, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
