Article development

Newly created articles are checked for obvious problems by members of the New pages patrol. These editors collaborate to identify articles which do not meet the criteria for inclusion and/or to tag them for any glaring issues that need attention. Article classification codes are assigned (on the article's talk page) based on an assessment of the article's quality. The assessment class codes may be updated by any contributor as the article is improved.

Typically, an article may begin with a Stub-class or Start-class code and be upgraded to C-class, then B-class as the article becomes more complete. Next, an article might be submitted to the peer review process to receive ideas and critical feedback from other editors. Upon successful completion of the peer review, an article might then be nominated for GA-Class (Good Article) status. At each step, the nominator is expected to implement the feedback they receive.

Articles achieving GA status are then potential candidates for FA-Class (Featured Article) status. Examples of featured articles are viewable daily at Wikipedia's Main Page.

Celjski Grad Good day and sorry for the late reply as on my one-month vacation at the moment. Thank you for interested in NPPS and and please note that NPPS is a comprehensive program and it would take a lot of your time for reading the material (Wikipedia guidelines) and working on the assignment (10 in total and 1 final exam). The topic of the program includes notability, sources, deletions, neutral point of views, copyrights, categories, and etc guidelines. Most of the students would take 3 months to complete the program but there is no timeline to complete as each participant work on the program on their own pace. I notice that you have less than 1.5K edit so for, I would suggest you to complete WP:TWA program (only take 30-90mins) so you could familiar with some basic Wikipedia guidelines before you start the NPPS program for it will be much easier for you to have some guidelines info prior starting the NPPS course. Let me know when you have complete the TWA program and and I will set up the program for you. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 15:54, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Lumenpost (19:21, 29 December 2023)

A movie I watched online doesnt have a wikipedia page am I allowed to make one with the information I found on it in articles and imdb? --Lumenpost (talk) 19:21, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lumenpost Good day and thank you for the question. First of all, info added or change (or create an article in English Wikipedia) do need independent, reliable sources such as from the newspapers or books to support the info for verification. IMDB is not reliable source so it can NOT be used to change or add information in Wikipedia. Let me know if you have any other questions as I am here to help. Stay safe and best. Question from Panthertunes (22:49, 31 December 2023)

Ive made a mistake on the preparation , of my first edit . can I delete the whole content >? --Panthertunes (talk) 22:49, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Panthertune Good day and thank you for the question. As per your contribution log - see HERE you have made all your edit on your WP:Sandbox (your own draft page - which you can edit anything you want as it act like a you own sketch note pad) where your sandbox is not for public in Wikipedia main space such as Wikipedia articles). I suggest you to take the short WP:TWA program to understand and familiar with some of the Wikipedia guidelines. Let me know if you have any other questions as I am here to help. Stay safe and best.
