Buildings and landmarks: unsourced and laundry list boosterism. Propose deletions
[edit]The language itself is strong boosterism and the list of buildings is laundry list, undue. Then there is the problem of missing references. I propose broadscale deletions. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 12:23, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- I'll take that as a "yes, we agree." -- Melchior2006 (talk) 06:57, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
Staff layoffs of 2014: Unsure if this is relevant enough. Propose deletion
[edit]While cutting a large number of staff can impact a university, hiring freezes and reductions in staff occur frequently at universities and businesses. Unsure if this paragraph is relevant enough to the university's history. I think this paragraph should be removed. Squiddyonwiki (talk) 10:14, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- I agree with you; too much "news reporting" style, not encyclo-relevant. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 11:53, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- Noted -- also, I added the 2020 COVID-19 lawsuit here. If you have any suggestions/opinions why this shouldnt be included let me know! Squiddyonwiki (talk) 13:34, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
- The COVID suit is utterly relevant because it has historical significance; alone the sum of money involved makes the suit relevant. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 13:45, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

varsity
[edit]Is the word "varsity" redundant, since the subject is a university? Humpster (talk) 22:50, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
Notable alumni lopsided
[edit]Two thirds of the alumni listed are athletes. Some of the others might be former athletes. Are non-athletes missing or is this ratio typical? Humpster (talk) 22:58, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
