Image Link Removals
[edit]Hello - rather than just utterly removing dead links to either pages/images, how about checking to see if there's anything accessible over on web.archive.org? Much more helpful for Wikipedians than just removing links/images without seeing if there's an alternative first. Stephen Walch (talk) 17:07, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Stephen Walch:, thank you for your comments. Regarding the pages that were archived at the Internet Archive from the image user gallery of "chrles" at multiply.com, what appears to have happened was that when the the pages were archived, the archive did not archive the images, leaving image references back to the image gallery that was online at the time. Once the image gallery eventually went offline, the archive only had the shell of the page without the images. The New Testament papyri external links sections could use some additional work and feel free to review if you get the chance. 24.42.154.67 (talk) 17:43, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
