AFD Closures
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/GNATS looked more like a no consensus to me. If you're only counting votes, you had the keeps ahead by one, but I'm sure you didn't do that. I'm curious as to your rationale. Toddst1 (talk) 03:22, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
- And on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PearUp Media, nobody supported keeping the article and you closed it as no consensus? How's that? Toddst1 (talk) 03:24, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply on my talk page. Another user has brought your closure to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of three Michelin starred restaurants in the United Kingdom. I don't get it. Before replying to that editor, I thought I'd give you the heads up if you wanted to comment. Toddst1 (talk) 00:19, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
- Regarding GNATS, I think you should change your close to no consensus. You don't get a supervote, nor do I. Toddst1 (talk) 03:17, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

This is not intended to be vandalism, I'm curious why you are completely blocking pages that xkcd.com is using. He is raising money for wiki with this webcomic and gimmick. I'm curious why you feel the need to cut down on the money that wiki is getting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gb003k (talk • contribs) 13:55, 1 April 2013

Deletion of Dextography entry
Please consider the entry as valid. The term was created in the 1980s, and received approval from many of the original "desktop publishing" creators throughout North America, including noted author Robin Williams (with Peachpit Press), vice presidents at Apple Canada, the Canadian Marketing Manager for Microsoft and even Bill Gates, who was a keynote speaker at the EDPA Congress in Toronto where I spoke on dextography. I do not understand how it could be considered any sort of hoax, let alone "blatant." Would appreciate your advice! Rita Blink (talk) 19:24, 2 April 2013 (UTC)Rita Blink
Federal Allies is now DTBoddie RE: Article: The Federal Allies Institute deleted April 1, 2013.
Hello, I recently posted a well-linked article on Federal Allies Institute and want to understand your perception of promotional, when all I thought I had posted was well-documented fact ala my degree in Journalism. This is a 5 year old IRC 501(c)(6) organization, with a innovative hybrid mission within the economic development space in which it operates. Federal Allies Institute is the same type of U.S. Internal Revenue Service vehicle used by the many trade organizations that are posted - though I do recall some labeling of "undocumented" on one. Nevertheless, I have full documentation via links on 3rd party websites.
I still need to learn citation, but felt lucky to have the time to get done what I produced in the article.
If you were familiar with this organization and its unique strategy, then the connections and links that I used make sense. There is nothing superfluous in the copy that I can see, but you're the expert! The new organization's connections with the US Executive branch and Congress are relevant to the organization. Not too many organizations are so well accepted by so many so early in their histories. That is because we offer utility to a much under-served community. Once you give me an idea of why you eliminated the article for being promotional I would be happy to clarify. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by DTBoddie (talk • contribs) 22:50, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Send me a copy of the article. I will use it elsewhere. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by DTBoddie (talk • contribs) 11:54, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Holistic Management
I was in the process of editing the page and linking it with both references and other wiki pages. I just created a new wiki account to do that very thing. I think you will find that many of the complaints and reasons for deletion have already been corrected. I did not create the page, but I am interested in it being up. Now many paragraphs and references I spent the last couple days finding are gone? Seems a lot of work to be just deleted before I am even finished. I am not attacking you personally. It just seems like it is a bit premature since I am working on it right now and also since now there are red (blind) links to the page elsewhere in wiki. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Redddbaron (talk • contribs) 02:30, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed with your reasoning for deletion, but I had already corrected that to a large degree and was in the process of correcting it further. A lot of changes were made to the page since the original cause for deletion. I don't even think the the original complaint even applies anymore. Shouldn't that be a factor? I am not the only one who posted this either. Your message says it is a NEOLOGISM but how can a method being taught by the USDA be a NEOLOGISM? Right there it shows the usage of the term has already entered the mainstream (in farming circles) I posted references to that fact. I was also in the process of eliminating the walled garden the original writer had created. It is funny to me that the originator of a multitude of associated methods like Managed intensive rotational grazing, mob grazing, cell grazing and so many others should be deleted due to neologism, when if it had not been for influence of holistic management (or the full term "Holistic managed planned grazing")none of those other systems are likely to have ever developed at all.Redddbaron (talk) 03:39, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- I request a undelete so I can finish my improvement of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Redddbaron (talk • contribs) 06:31, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
- I have been working hard on the holistic management article, which was deleted earlier this month (I didn't write the original). Thanks for the userfy. I rewrote it and since have been fine tuning it and adding multiple references, both in links to other wiki pages and external links. Whenever I have a reference that may seem weak and/or weaker, I have tried to add multiple references showing multiple POV. I have tried to reference it from mainstream press, trade journals, scientific journals, Government press releases, industry, NGO's, International and local Awards, historical, cultural, political, educational and any other context I could think of while still maintaining a logical coherent flow and not cluttering it up too much. Luckily the weather here is bad, so I have had some spare time to work on this. The best thing I am finding about writing a wiki page is that in the process of referencing it, you learn so much! I actually could write a lot more on it, but the juggling act is to avoid turning it into a fluff piece. With Allan Savory doing power point presentations, Joel Salatin doing power point presentations, Michael Pollan doing power point presentations, even Prince Charles!, a number of books like "The Carbon Fields: How Our Countryside Can Save Britain", "Gardeners of Eden" etc all with glowing reviews, I had to put a stop to it somewhere, otherwise it would take on a "too good to be true" tone. In my opinion it is far better than the average wiki pages I ever used (and I use wiki a LOT) but I fully admit since I wrote it, that opinion is obviously biased! hahaha I request you take a careful look and see if it meets wiki standards. If you think it does, please recommend it for publishing in wiki, or put it up for consensus. If it doesn't, please message me with improvements you think it still may need. Thanks for prompt removal of proposal for deletion sign
Hi,
I thank you for promptly removing the proposal for deletion sign on the Camille and Kennerly Kitt article. We are improving the article based on some guidelines that we have found, and another administrator is willing to help us as well. I am grateful for your time and courtesy. If possible, please propose to other administrators that only administrators should be allowed to suggest the deletion of articles. Two contributors, including myself, have developed serious health problems as a consequence of this measure. Kind regards... Dontreader (talk) 03:43, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
DualPortGYN Surgical Technique deletion
Dear LFaraone,
I've recently created a new article DualPortGYN Surgical Technique, that has been deleted. I understand the problem was in my username: Dualport, I simply created that username because I wanted to post the DualPortGYN article, I was not aware this was a problem. I have created a new account now with my name DanaBolgar and I would like to republish this page. DualPortGYN is the latest minimally invasive surgical technique and currently represents the best option for gynecologic surgery. I have listed various sources from scientific journals like The Journal for Minimally Invasive Surgery and The Journal of the American Medical Association, on the benefits and research related to minimally invasive GYN surgery. This article provides useful information for female patient education and I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know if it's ok to post this article under my new username or help me improve it so it would become Wikipedia material.
Thank you very much, DanaBolgar (talk) 16:28, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Novartis v. Union of India & Others
Hi, recently a blurb on rejection of patent protection by Indian Supreme Court on Imatinib compound was posted on ITN section, in the ITN discussion at [1] few users had suggested that a stand alone article on the case may discuss the issue better. I have created an article Novartis v. Union of India & Others, I would request you to have a look at it and to consider linking it to the blurb at ITN rather than to Imatinib. Any help in developing the article further would be greatly appreciated. LegalEagle (talk) 23:01, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Deletion of Little Face Mitt
I'd just like you to know that your premature deletion of the Little Face Mitt was outrageous and obviously done based on personal opinion rather than a clear consensus. This is what happened last time, which leads me to have a reinforced opinion of why this whole website is inconsistent and rigged. The mentality seems to be that a hive mind is created when somebody dates to challenge the OBVIOUSLY SUPERIOR intellect of a mod. When that happens, nothing will dissuade you people from reaching the conclusion you want to reach. So you miss resort to outright lies to accomplish this. You deleted a page with in-depth coverage by the International Business Times, The Washington Examiner, and The Young Turks, as well as coverage from NBC and Mashable and Mother Jones. It's patently clear you reached the delete conclusion because its the conclusion YOU wanted. That's how this website works. Power plays are above all else what matters to you. If you had WANTED this page to survive, you would've just as easily reached that conclusion. But you didn't. You are all very small, pathetic people with arrogance and bloated egos and you should be ashamed of the conduct you hide behind your false dedication to "encyclopedic notability." I will never contribute here again because I know you and your ilk have turned this into a corrupt cesspool that no longer has any worth or value. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.128.108.125 (talk) 15:28, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
Webber Academy
LFaraone you recently deleted an edit I made on an article however I must disagree with your points of it not promoting neutrality. The article I have been editing has first of all been flagged as it is written like an advertisement, the edits I have been making are striving to neutralize that writing by providing a well written review on the subject. As I am extremely knowledgeable on this particular article I find the relevant link to add a sense of balance between the strong promotional writings in the article. The link's content that I have added is not only well written and respectful but also based off merit and credentials.
I hope you are able to see my view. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Free6om (talk • contribs) 03:57, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi...just as a point of information, the above user has very sloppily attempted to nominate the article in question for AfD. I am not sure whether it actually has gotten nominated but there is a page now titled Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Webber Academy. I see nothing about the article that is promotional, just a typically poor school stub of which we have thousands. I will be adding an infobox and possibly some editorial content and I boldly removed the promo tag. I have no idea how to fix the deletion discussion, but I have asked an adm friend to take a look at it, but my guess is he is currently sleeping. Gtwfan52 (talk) 05:33, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
Request
Hello LFaraone, I hope that everything is well with you. I have a special request. Someone asked me (not the subject of the article), why has the article of Suzannah B. Troy been deleted. I've made a "google" check and believe that the subject seems notable, even though a little controversial. Being a controversial person, I can only imagine that the article must have been vandalized during its duration on Wikipedia. I was wondering if you could provide me with a link to the deleted article so that I may see for myself if there was a justification to it's deletion. I would also appreciate your opinion on the subject and if you believe that it should have been deleted. Let me know what you think in my talk page. I want to thank you before hand. Tony the Marine (talk) 20:22, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. In my personal opinion, it seems to me that the article was bascally self-promotional and that it lacked reliable verifiable sources to back up what is claimed. Tony the Marine (talk) 21:29, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
Deletion of Dana Vespoli
Today, I recreated the article for pornographic actress Dana Vespoli, an article which was deleted on March 6, 2011, over two years ago. The new page was different from the last one, which only included one award that Vespoli won in 2007, which according to the last deletion discussion, is insignificant. I believe this person passes the notability criteria on WP:PORNBIO because the article I created included her nominations also, which the last article didn't because one of the nominations was from this year, a long time since the last deletion discussion, so it no longer applies. Her nominations were performer awards for the two biggest award ceremonies in the adult film industry, a 2013 XRCO Award nomination for "Best Cumback" and a nomination for the prestigious AVN Best New Starlet Award in 2005. I brought this up when I contested the speedy deletion but I'm not sure if you read it. I'm here to request that this article be restored and if you would like to begin a new deletion discussion, then go ahead. Rebecca1990 (talk) 05:56, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
Deletion of Sameer Kevin Roy and Sumit Ghosh
Hi, unfortunately recently you have deleted the article Sameer Kevin Roy He is one of the top models from Bangalore India. I think it might have deleted due to lack of references. I am sory for that. If you can relist the article, i will add more references to it. I hope you will consider my request. I shall be very thankful and also the users are really biased they have some personal dislikings for me, if you restore the Sumit Ghosh and Sameer Kevin Roy Article I assure you that i will add more references. Regards DAR (talk) 23:46, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you LFaraone, at last i have found someone politer on wikipedia. I think they have some problem, this is a long story. There other pages that i had created are deleted. But its okay, as i think that they had needed more references. But i can make these three articles better Vibhinta Verma Sameer Kevin Roy and Sumit Ghosh. I have no objection on other deleted articles. They had low quality references. If you can help me with this issue, i shall be very thankful.

Do you want to review whether there was enough input into this AFD, and if not, would it be better to relist it rather than closing it prematurely? Barney the barney barney (talk) 09:30, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
- That close looks premature, so do Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Wheels_Entertainments, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Writopia_Lab, Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Vince_Conti, to name but a few. IRWolfie- (talk) 20:18, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
Hi, Thank you for cleaning up the Writopia Lab page. If you decide that Writopia Lab has earned the right to a wiki entry, I would like the Writopia Lab page to read in accordance with Wiki-standards and policy. I am concerned that it sounds like an advertisement to you. I had read it and thought it sounded like a list of the org's historical and current facts. I in no way want it to read like anything but a proper Wiki entry. I would like, if possible, to have a better understanding of what should be changed, added, or subtracted from the current page. RebeccaWS (I have only logged in once to Wikipedia, and I am having trouble logging in to my account. Rebecca is my username) Thank you so much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.243.166 (talk) 02:49, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

- Perhaps I should explain my first message. I was asking you politely to review whether you made a mistake and would consider undoing it. Your response, i.e. advice to me, wasn't particularly helpful. And then others seem to agree with me and it ends up being discussed at WP:AN/I. So I will rephrase. This is not a questions as to if you will do it, but advice that I think you ought to do it otherwise it just causes more bother for everyone: please unclose the AFDs that you have closed and relist them as appropriate until consensus is reached? Barney the barney barney (talk) 14:15, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
- Perhaps I haven't explained myself properly: Basically you have two options; (1) undo your actions (on which the overwhelming consensus seems to be that you were wrong) or (2) I'll take this further and make you look daft. I'm giving you a way out of this, in which you can do a little mea culpa, apologise, say you've learnt a lesson, relist them, and get on with it. Take this opportunity while it is offered to you. AfD relists
Hi LFaraone. :) Thanks for all your help at AfD - judging from your talk page, you've been hard at work! I just saw that you relisted Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saji Kazunari back on the 16th, but that it wasn't removed from the log at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2013 May 8 (I've done it now). I had a look at your edits back on the 16th, and I'm guessing that you did a load of relists in a short space of time with an AfD closing script. I've found that if you do the relists too close together then it causes them to edit conflict with each other on the log pages, because those pages take such a long time to process. It might be a pain to do, but it's probably best to wait until one relist has finished before starting another one. It's either that or get someone to write a batch relist tool, I think. Deletion of "The Truth: Gujarat 2002 – Tehelka report"
Hi LFaraone. I'd like to suggest the undeletion of the page "The Truth: Gujarat 2002 – Tehelka report" because of a possible misread of the discussion. I think the arguments made for deletion were invalid, and possibly made based on individual opinions of the subject of the article. As context, the report covered in the article involves the public release of video evidence that a major Indian political figure was complicit in genocide — you can understand how for some, this would be a politically charged topic.
There were 4 people who suggest deleting the page:
- Some stated that the report was not notable. This is an invalid argument, as I gave specific examples of how the report was widely covered by domestic and international media, e.g. AP, Reuters, AFP, BBC, Hindustan Times, Independent, NDTV, CNN-IBN, PTI. These citations existed in the article itself, and clearly counts as "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" per WP:GNG.
- Some also stated that the report was criticized as being inaccurate and sensationalistic. Being criticized does not reduce notability; in fact, the media firestorm around the report covered in the article is actually more evidence of notability, not less. The pro-deletion commenters appeared to be stating their personal disagreement with the contents of the report. The article itself was very NPOV, and included a long, well-cited, description of criticisms of the report.
I'd like your advice on how to proceed. I think Wikipedians who have no specific opinions about Indian politics will agree with me that (a) the article is about a notable subject, and (b) that the article is carefully written to be NPOV. Thank you! - Anirvan (talk) 00:37, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Comments on two AFD closures
For both Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2012 Seattle cafe shooting spree and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Frankstown Township Shooting (2nd nomination), while from a practical standpoint it won't make a different, I do challenge that the discussion on both resulted in "keep" as opposed to a "no consensus" closure. (which otherwise doesn't change anything) You have one side citing policy and the other without similar arguments but asserting fair reasons to keep, and that would be fair along a "no consensus" closure. Otherwise, I would ask you to explain why you think the "keep" reasoning is stronger for these cases. --MASEM (t) 01:58, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- Fair enough. No worries. --MASEM (t) 02:56, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
In regards to this closure, I went ahead and updated the Redirect target to Sensation (psychology). There had been no objections raised to that proposal, and it seemed better to point the redirect at an article instead of a disambiguation page. Please let me know if I overstepped. Thanks! Godfather
I changed it because they forgot that my father Jerry Forte who the company bought the name from them in 1974 was left out. My father owns the first Godfather which is in East Hanover, NJ which is not apart of the Godfather chain because like in I said he sold that name to them for an x amount of money. If you can please re-edit that to make it more grammatically correct I would appreciate that! P.S. he also sold the slogan the "Pizza you can't refuse" to them as well in that same year he sold the original name "Godfather's Pizza"

Transoft
Hi Luke,
You responded to me earlier. As per someone else's suggestion, I have just changed my user name to Snappy Creative so it is not obvious I work for Transoft. I would like to create a page for my company that is non-promotional. I use the AutoDesk page as an example of the kind of page I would like to create.
Yes, I have a conflict of interest. However, I can write in numerous styles and can easily create a objective account of our company. I hope this will enable you to trust my intentions.
I put up some very basic content just now under cjohnstransoft and it was deleted. Could you put it back up under my new username, please?
Thank you.

- Another Wikipedia member, Captain Conundrum suggested changing my user name from something with my company name in it to something more generic. I did that as well and now I'm not sure where to look for any correspondence from you.
I hope I can be allowed to create the Transoft Page.

- Hi Luke,
- I got a note from Barney The barney saying my Transoft Solutions page was being deleted. It was two sentences long and every sentence was fact-based. There is a page on Wikipedia on AutoTURN, which is our most successful product and I'd like to create a page for our company to link to it. I looked at the AutoDesk page as an example of what we could do. I contested the deletion from Barney as well, but since you were kind enough to write me back, I thought I would post here as well.
