Oshwah, I wanted to apologize for not first becoming familiar with the procedures before editing material on a page. I have engaged on the talk page "von Mellenthin" and hope you will be able to review the reasons given for my edit. Thanks so much and again, my apologies. Conflicting dates for the Groundbreaking for construction of the World Trade Center: August 5, 1966, vs. August 25, 1966.

":" Hi, I am completely new to the process of editing information on Wikipedia, and not tech savvy in the least, so when I try to read the directions for the correct way to make an edit, what format and code to use, and all the other criteria, it feels very overwhelming/confusing. About a day ago I made an attempt to correct a discrepancy involving the date for the Groundbreaking for Construction of the World Trade Center, but I apparently didn't follow the right guidelines or provide enough information to explain or back my change, so you reverted my edit, saying that it "did not appear to be constructive". I'm not exactly sure what that means, if it's referring to the way I posted the links, or if it has to do with the credibility, or lack of explanation for the change, but I did try posting different links, and I didn't feel like I was doing it right. Maybe you could help me. I'd like to further explain my change. At the top of the Wikipedia page it has construction dates for the World Trade Center listed and where it says Groundbreaking, it has August 25, 1966, however, on the same page down below, under the section on Construction, it says the Groundbreaking for construction began on August 5, 1966. The August 25 date doesn't mention a source as far as I could see on the page or even in the editing section (unless it's in some form of code that I can't read). After the last of the construction dates it sites the Port Authority Website, which just says August, 1966, but doesn't mention the day. On the Wikipedia page, the August 5 date down below has a link to "The World Trade Center Building Performance Study" by FEMA. The link appears to be a rotten link, but I was able to look the book up online in Google Books and found where it gives the August 5 date for the Groundbreaking. I went to the trouble of gathering screen shots (I don't know if I can send those here or not) for all the sources that come up when I do a Google search for both dates (August 5, and August 25) for the Groundbreaking for Construction on the WTC, and from what I could gather, the August 5 date seems more credible, as the sources for that date appear more reliable. The World Trade Center's official website wtc.com, in the History-Timeline section says the date for the Groundbreaking for construction was August 5, 1966. There are also many other sources that provide that date that feel reliable, like: nyc-architecture.com, nyctourist.com, skyscraper.org, architectuul.com, nydailynews.com "9/11 remembered: The Iconic Twin Towers through the Years", pbs.org, newyorkarchitecture.info, ussartf.org, and books: "World Trade Center" by Tamar L. Britton, "The 9/11 Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition" by Edited by Stephen E. Atkins, "Failure Consequences and Reliability Acceptance Criteria for the Exceptional Building Structures: A Study Taking Basis in the Failure of the World Trade Center Twin Towers" by Michael H. Faber, Oliver Kubler Mario Fantana, Makus Knobloch, and then of course the FEMA book I first mentioned. On the other hand when I do a Google search "World Trade Center Groundbreaking for construction, August 25, 1966", the sources for that date seem less reliable. Many of the sites seem to just be copying straight from Wikipedia, and include the same conflicting dates, August 25 at the top of the page and August 5 down below, with no source for the August 25 date. One example is gutenberg.us. Others like this include a site called mondowindow.com, and a Facebook page called That 70's Page. On a website called everything.explained.today it says August 25, 1966 at the top and then in the information below where it mentions the Groundbreaking it just says it "took place on, 1966", and there is no source for the August 25 date. Another site called press.com also uses the August 25 date, but doesn't provide a source, so I don't know where that date is coming from, but when I weigh the sources for the 2 different dates, the August 5 date feels more sound, particularly with the World Trade Center Official Website, and the FEMA book listing that date. I hope my information is helpful and adequate to at least justify consideration for my change. I think I'm right, but would definitely hate to make a change if it's wrong, so if there is anything I'm missing, please let me know. I of course am willing to provide anything more like screen shots, which I have plenty of, and links (I didn't provide those because I'm not very good at all that) if you need those, I can probably figure out how to just go back and copy the links to all the sites I just mentioned and send them in another message, as long as I know how to do it right. Sorry if this message is really long and tedious. At least this should explain what I'm trying to do. Hopefully you can help me (LOL!). You gave, correctly, a warning to this user following his/her unarguable vandalism. You then immediately reported this vandalism to vandalism report page, which is an implicit request for block imposition. This wastes admin time, as a block is only appropriate if vandalism (excluding exceptionally offensive vandalism) occurs after an appropriate warning. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 13:20, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Anthony Bradbury and BethNaught - Uh oh! I don't think I meant to report that user. You're absolutely right; it appears that I left a final warning, then somehow went straight to reporting it to AIV. Thanks for letting me know about this; I'll keep a closer eye out as I continue patrolling. And I do apologize for the inconvenience; I didn't mean to cause any kind of frustration. Again, thanks for letting me know about this. It's a pleasure to shake hands with you both, and happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:04, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the author of the complete Gustav Knittel article which is the result of 20 years of research. Out of the blue somebody flagged the wartim career section with some general accusation that I used unreliable revisionist sources. See the talk section with the article. I removed the section and wished the person who flagged it best of luck with writing a reliable section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ruimteaapje (talkcontribs) 20:54, 3 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wow that was quick and I wasn't sure if I was even working the help section correctly so thank you and yes that did answer my question. Since I'm here I thought I might as well go ahead and ask another if I may? Related to the first question is whether or not there is a quick reference page available to explain the basics for people just beginning to use Wikipedia with answers to things like "what dom the colored words mean?" I won't be contributing I just want to be able to fully navigate the site for information and personal education reasons. All help provided is much appreciated for in the past I've given up on using the site because it seemed whenever I would get stuck and went looking for a "how to" link I came to pages with so much reading it was just too overwhelming to find a simple answer so I could get back on track & resume my purpose of my visit. Once again Thankx for your quick reply and the time taken to do so. Have a great evening.2601:1C2:4100:3290:D527:7D38:5E22:DC5F (talk) 00:47, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy, "Oshwah." It seems to me, you think you know history; you think you know the truth behind the infamous UFO crash in 1947- but obviously, you don't. Let me tell you what really happened.Mars is in chaos! An alien species known as the Pancakian's, Martian southern accented walking pancake aliens' civilization is quickly tumbling down at the dawn of an economic crash in Pancakian Capital City.

The Pancakian's king and queen, Mama and Papa Pancakian are expecting twins but because of Mars' collapsing economy, Mama and Papa plan to send their children to earth aboard a U.S. space shuttle they repaired after shooting it down with an atomic syrup bomb to live fulfilling lives.

The day finally came, Mama's syrup broke, she went into labor! Papa rushed Mama to the Pancakian Capital Emergency Room where after twelve long hours, she gave birth to two healthy, not so beautiful twin baby boys. Mama and Papa named the boys Dill and Zorax Pancakian, unaware of the greatness that would come of them....

As soon as Dill popped out of Mama's womb, Mama and Papa looked into each other's eyes worriedly. "Oh, what buck teeth he has." Papa said telepathically. "Oh, what wide nostrils he has." Mama said back telepathically. "Face it, honey, Dill is too ugly to ever be accepted by human society." "I know, I just don't want to face the facts." Papa left Mama at the hospital with Dill, who they decided to keep on Mars, while he took Zorax away from Mama immediately so she wouldn't become too attached to let him go. Papa took Zorax to a Pancakian skin Designer, Geex Quaxoo who had already designed authentic looking human skins for Zorax to wear to fit in with humankind. The skins would expand as Zorax grew older so they wouldn't have to be replaced. Geex fitted Zorax into the skins and he was disguised and ready to be sent to earth. Papa attempted to kiss Zorax on the forehead but couldn't bring himself to it because of how ugly humans are. "I wish you a fulfilling life, my son." Papa said and boarded Zorax onto the space shuttle. Papa clicked a few buttons on the shuttle, putting it in auto pilot. Papa watched the shuttle lift off the ground and fly into Mars' atmosphere then the deep depths of space. Zorax' journey to earth took three long, lonely and boring months. Zorax aged and grew in that three months and the skins expanded with his growth. Finally, the shuttle entered earth's atmosphere and as it approached the planet, caught flame causing it to spiral out of control towards the planets surface. The shuttle crash landed in the middle of two continents drifting apart, a continental drift. The impact of the continental drift caused Zorax to go flying out of the shuttle and land in a bush a few miles away from the crash site, his hairline forever split in two. Zorax was trapped on earth, he was alone, the only Pancakian on the planet, he was the lone Pancakian. Zorax' body was discovered by a CIA agent who arrived first to investigate the crash site with many other military troops dispatched and on the way to the scene. The CIA agent, John Ferrie Greaseball realized Zorax would never be able to escape fame and live a normal life being an alien life form and all and decided to adopt him without the governments knowledge. He made it so people thought it was an alien, and a blimp at the same time. This is the truth, so please never question my changing of your made stories ever again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TellingoftheTruth (talkcontribs) 00:03, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Be Bold. Some edits you flagged as suspicious (Oshwah thinks that edit on enwiki to Cub Foods by 24.148.72.178 (704458724) is likely a vandalism, but they didn't revert it, etc.) can be mostly reverted for failure to cite a reliable source/inappropriate biographical content. I see that you reverted RainbowTubaStudios edit on the mens rights movement article. good job catching it so quickly. Hi, Insertcleverphrasehere! Thanks for leaving me a message with your question! In a nutshell, if an IP or user has been warned enough times and continues to vandalize Wikipedia, you can report them at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism (or AIV). This is the best place to report repeated vandalism by a user in order to have an administrator block them. ANI is best for behavioral or other issues that require administrator intervention. Hope this helps! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 20:13, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!  InsertCleverPhraseHere InsertTalkHere  21:02, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Pardon my intrusion. As a general rule the vandals need to be WP:Warned and have edited thereafter. Helps if is recent. Although if it is really egregious, warnings can be dispensed with. If it is an IP vandale, helps to identify them in the report as a "school" if that applies. If it is a registered user, if it is "vandalism only" this is good to mention. Typically I will use some formulatin such as "red, hot, now. Warned and persists" with other facts as indicated above. Warnings help lay down a record that merits actions. Hope that helps. 7&6=thirteen () 21:10, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
7&6=thirteen introduces good points. As I said, The IP/user needs to have been warned enough times and continue to vandalize Wikipedia. However, like 7&6=thirteen stated, there are situations that warrant warnings unneeded. Thanks, 7&6=thirteen! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:31, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality is Subjective

Hi thank you for responding so fast. I feel so important. No I am not brownnosing. I just wrote and wrote what was in my mind. If you read my edit, you will see that u it comes from facts and I can prove it. Not neutral. I am not soliciting or marketing nor am I wanting a percentage of anything. I believe that Wikipedia, who is composed of regular minded people such as myself, a new member must be treated with respect. Are you the reaper for wikipedia? Ask me why I wrote this? Judging is not good for your position. YOu must communicate with the editor, me and suggest ways to edit,

I need to know why we need to be neutral. You mean, not honest? In between? Not taking sides? The lady with a blindfold carrying a symbol of balance? How does she know its not tee ter tottering? How do you know my information comes from facts? ANd I was not done.

Words are definitive. Words do bleed. Words or communicated words are very powerful. I believe I would suggest to Wikipedia that you must not rudely delete words written from the heart. You ZAPPED my edit unilaterally! Who advised you? Yourself that you think that Larry Page, my edit is not based on fact, which it is. Do you think I was soliciting? I was attempting to inform the commons that Wikipedia can be artistic and factual at the same time and written with feelings. That is what we now, Words of love.

First, I need to know in bulleted horizontal columns what is your criteria for deleting my edit. You are responsible for your actions. What if I was a teenager who decided to contribute and be part of wikipedia and grow with it and learn? Then you just zapped my creation.

If I may suggest that in every important people in technology that is directly involved in our lives and the matrix that we live in. Censorship without consultation hurts people's feelings. Especially it was my first edit. And do not even know how to really navigate Wikipedia.

It is true, that Larry Page is how I describe him from my research; it is true that he needs to know that his people need to develop the same design but better when it comes to the Microsoft Surface Book Pro and the IPAD PRO with "pen".

I only stated all the compliments from the heart because he is one of the main Android operating system innovators that so many millions of people use now.

My message could have a metaphor? Don't you think that what I said about Larry Page was true? My USPTO patent is based on the very fact, that as Registered Nurse for 28 years, I innovated a design, which I do not need Larry Page or Google or Apple or Windows for any kind of monetary request? I am doing this on my own. My mistake was that I wrote draft to final. When one edits, when one writes from the heart, its dangerous in a sense that the orginal writing will lose its real define. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AzimuthPolarity5 (talkcontribs) 22:21, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, AzimuthPolarity5 - There are many things wrong with your edit to Larry Page, a biography of a living person (which has stricter guidelines than other articles). Opinion and neutrality can be subjective at times, but you made it perfectly clear in your edit. You added: "I believe his success or his calling is based on the desire to make the world a better place for all", and "I am sure that he looks at those kids and automatically has myriad of novel ideas, designs and 3d thoughts that not even an engineer can muster. He I'd one of my comments two years ago. I was just learning the G+ then. I have and think the same way he does. Just wish he can use my creativity. I feel that he is one of those successful CEOs' that would just want to be behind the limelight and invent in his own space. I relate to him". If this is a direct quote from the person, then it needs to be formatted and cited with a reliable source. I don't believe that is the case. You also mention "your research" in your message to me above. Remember that original research is not allowed on Wikipedia (especially on articles that are biographies of living people); everything you add on Wikipedia must be attributable to a reliable source, or actually attributed (cited) with a reliable sourced. Unreferened information can be challenged and removed (unreferenced controversial information must be removed from BLP articles). Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to respond and assist you. Thanks for leaving me a message about your concerns, and I wish you happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:04, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this. Not surprisingly, he's restored the comments. Hi, Winkelvi - Of course; you're very welcome. I've reported the user to AIV SPI, so it'll hopefully be handled there (and soon) :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:28, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for doing that. It's beyond old and tiresome. Most of the time, I just ignore him, but I was curious to see how he would respond to my query. His answer was not surprising and met all of my expectations. lol -- WV 23:30, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, hey -- I just noticed. I thought you reported the IP user. That was a surprise to see. It will be interesting to see where the report goes. -- WV 23:31, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Winkelvi - So I removed the AIV report - the user had no warnings left on his/her talk page. But there is an SPI open here. If there are more accounts that you think are related, please add them to the report :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:44, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm confused. Are you saying you think the account you reported at AIV, the TruthInLies account, and the NY IP vandal/harasser/hound are all the same? If so, I guess I wouldn't have come to that conclusion without some real conclusive evidence. If you have some, I'd be interested to see it. -- WV 23:46, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm confident that there's some socking going on. There's a report open to have someone look into it. We'll see what is uncovered ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:17, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Comment from User:D.R Neal G

Can you explain to me in plain English why your are deliberately altering for no reason my update to Budbrooke Barracks when I've supplied reliable reference. You seem to be committing the very thing your spouting out against on your page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by D.R Neal G (talkcontribs) 04:08, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, D.R Neal G and thanks for chatting with me and helping me out here. We don't need to edit war, get uncivil, and start a big fight just to discuss your edit, right? I'll be more than happy to discuss the edit you made to Budbrooke Barracks and help you out. The issue with this edit is a few things:
  1. It has issues with our neutral point of view guidelines. In the edit, you said "The site has since been developed in to a thriving housing estate called Hampton Magna" (I formatted the word in issue) - "thriving" can be translated as an insertion of opinion, or speaking unnecessarily positive towards the housing in a biased manner. The NPOV policy will help you with this.
  2. The statement above was unreferenced. Can you provide a source that says they were renamed? See Wikipedia's guidelines on reliable sources and citing sources for when it's appropriate and required to cite a source.
  3. You cited a Wikipedia article in some of your content. You need to pull the actual source from the article instead of citing other Wikipedia articles. Those don't count as secondary sources, and technically could count as "original research" in a way.
One you fix those issues, your edit should be fine. By the way, please leave messages at the bottom of people's talk pages. Not the top. :-)
Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:20, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Comment by User:D.R Neal G Let start by saying I personally dislike kids dressed up in military garb referring to stuff in pseudo military language like as war, a fight etc. if you ever been in a battle field you would not been so keen to ape the military. I have in front of me a volume of the encyclopedia Britannia, that was complied by academics usually noble prize winner. Also in front of me is my computer with Wikapedia that is edited and administrated by well not it seems noble price winning academics. But ill-educated vain kids that like to portray themselves as having standard they don't possess. Does that ring any bells? As your a prime example User:Oshwah a total parody who vandalism a entry I made justifying with a lame semantic argument. There a four letter word that sums you up and your full of it kid.
D.R Neal G, I don't understand the argument you're trying to convey. You say that this site is maintained by "ill-educated vain kids" that don't "possess standards", but you become angry when asked to cite a reliable source with your statements, as well as reference what is constituted as a reliable source. These are common standards that any person would understand and assume is a rule in practice on websites like Wikipedia. If you're referencing The Encyclopedia Britannica, then you need to cite it properly. Tell us where you're getting the information from. Why is that such a big deal to you? Why get so angry over something like this? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:54, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Comment by User:D.R Neal G You keep referring to standards, standards are something you don't possess or have a vague sense off. User:Oshwah You know very well I supplied a reliable source, your playing games, probably having a good old chuckle over that lame semantic argument for deleting my update. What can a place be other than thriving, dead like your personality. Your impressing no one with your glib responses. If you set yourself high standards, that you can only fantasize of ever achieving or to lazy to have a go at achieving than why be here spouting rubbish. To answer you other question so far I've encounter kids that are unable to conduct themselves in adult manner and play fair. Your not a good ambassador for Wikipedia or its reliability. Your presence on here doing the service no flavors.
User:D.R Neal G - I believe that I have done everything possible to provide you with the appropriate assistance you need regarding your dispute, and in a professional manner that is acceptable. Unfortunately, I cannot assist you any further. Your uncivil comments made here (and more importantly, directly toward other editors who have also tried to assist you in good faith) show me that your intentions are not to let me help you, and that you're really not here to build Wikipedia. I'm sorry; this conversation has been escalated to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:49, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Place of Birth Edit on Imtiaz Ali Page

Hello there!

I am writing to you on behalf of Imtiaz Ali. This is to bring to your notice that the correct place of birth is 'Jamshedpur', as opposed to Bihar( as mentioned in the current edit).

I had tried to cite the source for the same; but you have still rejected the same.

Please find below a couple of other sources for the same:

Hoping that you would please consider this change. Please do let me know in case of any concern.

Sara Bareilles

Hi Can you please explain why did you delete my edits? What references are you looking for Sara not having kids? Or not being married? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andkir1 (talkcontribs) 15:05, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Andkir1 - it was both. I recommend that you review Wikipedia's policies regarding biographies of living people, as it will further explain why information must be referenced that could be interpreted as controversial in BLP articles. To add the information, just cite a reliable source. Although, I will say this: the information you want to add, even if referenced, might be removed by other editors as not being "necessary". However, I'll leave that to someone else. The main concern here is the fact that it's unreferenced and in a BLP article. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be more than happy to help you :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 15:15, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Closure notice

Hi. I'm making a friendly suggestion about your recent closure notice at ANI "Issue with incivility and WP:NOTHERE". You may wish to consider including the name of the banning admin or the diff of the ban notification which includes the admin's name. No subject

Hi, You invited me to discuss about my changes to the Apollo site.

Collapsing, as it is a huge block of text.

In short: Wikipedia is full of fake info with no support what so ever (many so called sources attached to page sybjects, leads to nowhere or fake/made up books which does not exist, or it quotes the quoter which quotes his own books full of his own opinnions). Wikipedia admins does not verify the existing or veridicy of the mention sources, but automatically considers them "true" if the names of the quotes sources are pompos enough, or have in it artificial inserted famous names like "Harvard" or "Cambridge". This being so most insignificant problem of the site. Bigger problems is that the site is intensive used by greek nationalists for their political agenda. During the last 10 years they deleted info and countless historical maps and artefact pictures under the pretencies that after 20 years of vieuwing, those relevant maps and pics may no longer be showed on "copyrights reasons", while those have been absolete after so many years anyway. Another problem is that the site contains countless contradictory infi. What on one page us says white (abstract example) on another page about the same subject it says "black". It's a total chaos. The greek nationalists which now succeded to be admins here, continuously vandalise the site, deleting directly real data backed up by official references, replacing with empty words and fake info without any sources (let proper sources of any kind). They even say that inserting a hyperlink in the text I add, link which leads to another wikipedia page (like the "Greece" page for example), it's not prrmitted because (I quote them): "informations from Wikipedia are not to be trusted". So.. it looks like the Circus came to town and it's name is Wikipedia. If info from wikipedia is not to be trusted, why do they not accept my info pretending that it's not trustfull? Logically the place of untrustfull info is on untrustfull sites. CONCRET EXAMPLE about what I experience here, as an old historian with 45 years experience in the field: Apollo (all names were first descriptions, which became later Names), known first as Apulu as he was from Apulum(now the city if Alba Iulia), city in Hyperborea, was known by ancient greeks as The Hyperborean Apollo. (Herodotus explains that Hyperborwa was not in the nothern Greece were Macedonia was, but in the far north, above Danube, the land later called Dacia. Apollo was the son of Zeus, known by Herodotus as Zeus of Dodona, another ancient NON-greek zone. The mount Olympus zone was allways in Dacian zone bellow Danube, province of Macedonia, the olympian language (see Aromanian language page) also being non greek, but thracian/dacian/aromanian. The southern half of Macedonia together with other countrie's teritories and together with the mount Olympus zone, were stolen by Genocide, by Greece, on century ago. Before that, mount Olympus never had anything to do with Greece ir the greeks. See also multicoloured map of the Greek teritorial Gains at the GREECE page here. Being as ysyal very proud of their genocide if any era, the greeks also published stamps (to be found on the net, I gave it too) which shows what teritory took Greece, from what country, and in what year. The greek nationalists falsifjed by now (for years!) whole wikipedia, where they present the olymlian Gods as "greek" Gods, Apollo from far off Greece also as "greek" god, etc., ignoring even their own ancient greek historians. Any repare attempt to correct the info here according to ancient greek historians, is quicky reverted according to perpetyal political agresive greek agenda concerning Macedonia. If you know the history from at least ladt century, you know more than I need to tell you here. Alexander Macedon was born in 4-th century in Pella, in Thrace. The "thracian state between 5-th and 3-rd century BC) could show also the thracian zone, but that map too was deleted from the site, after many years of existing on the site. Historical data can prove the truth anyway. Alexander used hats and helmets typicalli for non greeks, with it's top pointed foreward (like phrygian cap), style which ancient greeks allwats atributed to NON greeks, also called "barbarians". This was also seen later in the movie Alexander, also the movie Troy, where the greeks did not even know who Apollo was, and destroyed it's tempels. I neec a couple of months just to tell you how many kakameny fairytales were inserted here by greek nationalists while removing every real info, ecisted or attepted later, of real historians, so I will only tell you this too and I wil stop here: The greeks invaded Pelasgia (starting wich Mycene, south of Pelasgia) and than Troy..etc, being official in existence in Europe, only since 13-th century BC. The olympian Gods are much mych older. Even Troy is mych older than that cause in order to be attacked by the invading greeks, it had to exist first. According to the greek nationalists on wikipedia, everything in the world is "greek" or greek related. Real historuans and real proof in the real world prices otherwise. We do not care about wikipedia, but is being observed that paralel with the decaying of school education, more and more youngsters come on wikipedua for info. Thus they create later a total different history than the real one. This is why we try to repare the nonsense on wikipedia. Half an our ago I got mad and placed a saecasting adding at the thracian language paragraph where some cretins sayd that the Thracia was invaded and thracian language "slavicized" continuously until 5 century AD, when "the last remnants of thracian language dissapeared". Biggest absurdity ever. Not only that the thracian language us stil spoken today (but called aromanian/romanian), but the skavs did not even came to Europe/Thrace until the 6-th century AD. The cretin poster meant maybe that OR the slavs were "time travellers", or the slavs exterminated the thracian language before, from a distance, through Skype, by convincing a whole civilisation to forget who they are and their own language, and to adopt the new slavic one. This to give you an impression about what I have to put up to. All the nonsense is being posted and accepted, and all the real info is being deleted. If you let this hapoend any longer, no himan being or otherwise, will give a... something on wikipedia info.

Thanks for reading. You can also mail me at castell_berings@yahoo.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muntele (talkcontribs) 18:10, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

PS: Sorry for those many written mistakes (I use my cell phone now) and that in the final I forgot to sign it. There is quite a lot to say about a lot of falsifying facts on wikipedia, but I didn't want to bore you, esspecially when you are the only admin which talks. The rest in the past started yelling "ATACK TO PERSON!!" and blocked me for a month, telling me this in a message where they pretended to insert a link for my reaction, link that they blocked too so I can't answer or complain.Muntele (talk) 18:28, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) @Muntele: If you don't know enough English to understand what the articles say, you shouldn't edit the English language Wikipedia. Thracian language does not say what you claim it says, when you edited the article it said "Most of the Thracians were eventually Romanized, Hellenized or Slavicized, with the last remnants surviving in remote areas until the 5th century", not just "Slavicized". The claim about them being "Slavicized" has now been removed by me, though, after checking the source, where there's no mention of any Slavic influence, only Greek and Roman. Meaning that I have done what you should have done, i.e. checking sources and correcting to what the source says, instead of just adding unencyclopaedic POV comments. Another thing: I just got threatened by another admin which blocks me every month even if I do not even come on wikipedia (it seems that I am a "to be blocked" client on his personal agenda list), where he purposelly (in order to try to argument his continue hostile behaviour towards everybody which does not accept his dictatorship) remainds my past info corections on the site, at the Dacians pages, where I also added official sources as well as "forbidden" links to this same wikipedia, "not trustworthy site" according to him and his greek nationalists team there. I attache here his today reaction, but before that I wish to point out that I am an historian and archaeologist since before his father was born, I am from Dacia, and I know my iwn history more than anybody else. So when it comes about what happened in Dacia, I am the one who knows stuff and tell others, not the other way arround as the adnin you see bellow force me under threat to accept his point if view and ignore the real history. Bellow you have his message to me, today.

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Trajan's Dacian Wars. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blockedfrom editing Wikipedia. Warning for repeated unsourced edits (see page history of article). And it's not only this article but several more, all showing repeated seemingly POV edits, with no sources supporting them. neutrality

the arithmetic in the article is clearly mistaken, that's the point. Neutrality doesn't enter into it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.145.117.246 (talk) 20:14, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is the edit I reverted. The word "neat!" doesn't make your edit neutral at all. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 20:17, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why nonconstructive?

Hi, I don't understand why my edit to User:Eovtos was not constructive. Can you please explain? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.79.60.243 (talk) 20:16, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, 74.79.60.243 - I made a mistake! I went ahead and restored your change. Sorry about that! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 20:20, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Garden Party

I have been a professional radio DJ since the '70's with over 40 years experience.

It has been well known since 1972 that Rick Nelson's line in 'Garden Party', 'Ringin' a bell' was a direct reference to Chuck Berry's then-current song, 'My Ding-A-Ling'. Why was my addition deleted? 99.171.100.169 (talk) 20:34, 13 February 2016 (UTC)99.171.100.169 (talk) 23:18, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, 99.171.100.169 - Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I initially thought that your edit was vandalism, but I've since verified that "my ding-a-ling" is, in fact, a real song made by the singer. I apologize for the mistake; please feel free to restore what I removed. Please let met know if you have any questions. I'll be happy to answer them. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:24, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

contributer

Hello Oshwah, I have been a minor contributor to Wikipedia over the years. In fact, I just got a message from you about a change I made to a mistake on Adam Worth. I know you get a lot of questions so please forgive me for taking up your time. I have a PhD in geology and think that Wikipedia is the most amazing thing ever constructed. I am a professor and I cannot tell you how often I use your graphs and images to help my classes (with reference of course). I have read a bit about Wikipedia and wonder how so many people can work on it for no money. It is my understanding that only one person at Wikipedia makes a salary. So I hate to sound like a capitalist but what is in this for the contributors. I ask this only because I am curious and am not because I am seeking any compensatory amount for an of my contributions (not that they would be worth much). Volcanoman7 (talk) 21:27, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Volcanoman7! Thanks for leaving me a message! No apologies needed at all; I'll be more than happy to answer your questions and tell you more about how it works. Many people volunteer their time towards building, maintaining, and protecting Wikipedia. We do it for the same reasons that other people volunteer their time; because we enjoy it :-). ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:36, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New Feminism: "Obedience and Dependency"

Hi there, Oshwah! Thank you so much for reaching out about my deletion on the "New Feminism" page. I'm new to Wikipedia editing and didn't realize there was a protocol for deleting content, so I'd like to apologize for that. I would like to explain my deletions in hopes that you will again remove them from the page.

There is a section on the "New Feminism" page called "Obedience and Dependency". As a Catholic and follower of New Feminism, I know that all of the content under that section is paraphrased to the point of complete warping of the information. None of that is true, and is in fact a common misconception that we fight against. This misinformation and misconstrued idea of a man "leading" a woman and her subsequent obedience to him is something that is openly criticized in all of the classes I've taken on Theology of the Body/Catholicism and Feminism. It is extremely unfortunate that such information is presented as fact on a popular website like Wikipedia.

Most of the "New Feminism" page is spot on, and a great resource! However, some bits are not only untrue/not what this movement subscribes to, but are heretic in the eyes of the Catholic Church, which heads up the movement (ie. "She is their Eucharist." under "Masculinity", which I also attempted to delete.)

I would appreciate it if you would further look into these queries and re-delete the content, given this explanation. Many thanks! 2602:306:36D3:87A0:F0C8:AF70:CAE9:D99D (talk) 23:55, 13 February 2016 (UTC)Aly[reply]

Hello

Do you know where the help page is for new articles generally, and for the formatting on the wiki? Thank you again (talk) 00:02, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, 400 Lux! Lets start by having you complete the Wikipedia Adventure tutorial. Once you're done with that, we'll talk formatting and all that stuff. Let me know if you run into any questions with the tutorial. It's a really good place to start, and it will actually help you. Message me again when you complete it. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:05, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm better if I can just read a reference/technical document. This method will not fit me well. Is there a page I could read? 400 Lux (talk) 00:20, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

400 Lux - Fair enough; you're just like me. Skip the crap and read the technical docs :-). Yes, there is. All formatting-related guidelines are at Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Creation of new articles falls into different categories, what are you looking for specifically? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:51, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion without explaination

A change I made was reverted and I am curious why and how to fix it. I have been trying to wikify the sources and citations on the Gestures in language acquisition page because there were two separate citation/reference lists. I consolidated it into one and had it cited according to wikipedia standards. Perhaps there is a reason that these were separated and if so, why? If not, how do I have my edits restored without going through individually as I have already done this twice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cait ash (talkcontribs) 22:26, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Cait ash. Thanks for leaving me a message regarding your concerns. I saw this edit that you made to Gestures in language acquisition. You removed the references, but you didn't explain why. I went ahead and looked at your previous changes before that removal; it appears that you were converting that list to in-line citations using Wikipedia's manual of style - perfect! I went ahead and rolled back my reversion - the article is now back to the version with all of your changes applied. In the future, it would be helpful if you left good edit summaries explaining what you're changing and why. This way, other reviewers and editors will understand and know what you're doing. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them and assist you with anything you need. Thanks again for the message, and happy editing! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:35, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I will ensure that I will explain why in the future. However, there are still some citations that I did edit and fix that are still appearing as they were. I do not want to go through and edit again because like I said I have already done it twice. Is there anything you or I can do to fix this? Cait ash (talk) 22:52, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Cait ash - I double checked and verified that I reversed my changes and restored the version of the article that was saved immediately prior to my changes. There also appears to have been changes made since my reversion. Are you sure that there is a problem? You can look at the history of the article; every single change saved is available, and you can view and edit every reversion and find what changed. So you don't have to manually change anything again if you've changed it before. I hope this helps you out. Please feel free to message me any time you have questions or need anything :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:01, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

there you go, watch the video. then maybe you can add the edit, now it has been verified by jordan herself? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bangerhanger (talkcontribs) 01:20, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I highly recommend that you review Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy, and Wikipedia's reliable sources policy. These will answer your questions and assist you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:24, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jordan Raskopuolous. Transgender, citation included

it was removed again even though the direct link to her coming out video was included. Why? [1]

Bangerhanger (talk) 01:34, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oshwah, Jordan HERSELF is in the video talking about her transition. Did you even watch it? Its called 'whats happened to jordans beard' here is the link https://www.facebook.com/AxisOfAwesome/?fref=ts

Jordan is a very good friend of mine and im trying to support her. Please watch the video and see for yourself?

Bangerhanger (talk) 01:36, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bangerhanger - See my previous response. You need to review Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy, and Wikipedia's reliable sources policy. These will answer your questions and assist you. I also see that you've just indicated that you claim to know Jordan Raskopoulos personally. This represents a conflict of interest. Editing articles where you have a conflict of interest is very discouraged behavior on Wikipedia. It removes your ability to edit the article in a neutral point of view. You indicated that you're editing the article because you're "trying to support her" - this is not neutral. Please read the Wikipedia policies I've cited, and let me know if you have any more questions. Putting the content back on the article repeatedly without discussing it first can constitute edit warring, which can get you blocked. Before doing so, start a discussion on the article's talk page. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:41, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nina Czegledy edit

Hi Oshwah, I have been doing some minor edits to help correct this page for new media artist Nina Czegledy. I have noticed that some of this information is incorrect, and I am starting to correct portions of this page as I go. Her inclusion as an article is important as she is an important Canadian digital and new media artist. I am not convinced that the 'flight from Hungary' text is useful or relevant. She has made some documentary films (for example see here: https://isea2011.sabanciuniv.edu/.czegledy) so that is relevant enough to remain. But you are right, I should have included some explanatory text along with the edit.
